Non Welded Piping systems save money in many areas and allow better flow control of the internal fluid due to Compression/Mandrel bending of the Tube, not formed tight radius welded systems.
Non Welded Piping also eliminates the need for NDT and Pickling of the tube (Tube is supplied treated with a Phosphated solution) further reducing the time required for Flushing & filtering.
Flared piping systems utilise ST52.4 & ST37.4 Cold Drawn seamless carbon steel Pipe. The system has a 4:1 safety factor. SAE recommended achievable pressure figures are :
SAE Code 61 Flange - 3000PSI Seamless Tube 4:1 Safety
SAE Code 62 Flange - 6000PSI Seamless Tube 4:1 Safety
*Generally, Flare flanging is limited to 3" pipe due to wall thickness required for high pressures on larger Nominal Bore Pipe
Retain Ring piping systems utilise the same Cold Drawn seamless Pipe. However the system is used on heavier gauge wall pipe, machining of the outside of a pipe for a retainer and the face for a bonded seal. Size ranges up to 12" Pipe.
Benefits for Non Welded: •leak-free •reliable highest level of cleanliness •small space requirement •prefabrication •fast and easy on-site installation •zero-fire hazard
